Why Substance Abuse is a Losing Bet

Concerns over alcohol & other drugs being used/abused in young people

Why drugs and alcohol use are not the wisest of decisions

As i am spending time among younger people aged 18-40, I am observing their intake of alcohol and soft drugs.

I myself spent the last 20+years living a satvik life pure and free of all types of drugs and free of carcinogenic foods, and now being on the road as a nomad, I am thinking of why they use that, and how it effects our world.

'Why should they not', is maybe the better approach.

'Why they do is another one' - because it is available and the accepted thing to do.

Hey question: Does it help your life move forward?

If you know the effect of alcohol are deterioration of brain cells, and any organ cells then why would you do it?

But we all test the boundaries when we are young so I guess it is part of life.

But can we start with education on a different level?

And can we un-sexy the use of drugs as being non-cool as it kills directly (physical and mental) and leads to problematic behaviour.

Saying it's part of growing up is just not good enough any more.

The amount of chaos in the world requires us to take a new look at how we start off in life.

Decrease the chaos by living wiser.

God knows the medical field has enough to do.

So purifying our actions leads to a calmer life which helps the chaos decrease.

Maybe the slogan applies: Save your brain cells, leave alcohol and drugs at the door!

Breaking the Cycle: A Doctor's Plea to Protect Young Minds

The Dangers of Substance Abuse in Young People

As a medical doctor with over 20 years of personal experience living a pure and healthy lifestyle, I’ve become increasingly concerned about the prevalence of alcohol and drug use among young people aged 18-40.

Why is substance abuse so harmful?

  • Devastation of the body: Alcohol and drugs wreak havoc on the brain and other vital organs, leading to long-term health consequences.
  • Impaired judgment: Substance use clouds judgment, leading to risky behaviors and poor decision-making.
  • Increased chaos: The ripple effects of substance abuse contribute to societal problems and create a less harmonious world.

Why do young people use substances?

It’s often seen as socially acceptable and even desirable/sexy, especially in youth culture. Peer pressure, a search for escape, or simply a lack of awareness about the consequences can contribute to experimentation.

How can we address this issue?

  • Early education: Implementing comprehensive substance abuse prevention programs in schools is crucial.
  • Changing perceptions: We must work to destigmatize sobriety and make substance use uncool.
  • Leading by example: Promoting healthy lifestyles and emphasizing the importance of well-being can inspire young people to make better choices.

Economic effects of alcohol and drug use on society:

It’s time for a shift in perspective.

Rather than viewing substance use as a normal part of growing up, we must recognize its detrimental effects.

Let's empower young people to protect their minds and bodies by choosing a path of clarity and well-being.

Save your brain cells. Leave alcohol and drugs at the door.
