The Deer, the Fox, and the Birds – A Warm Welcome to Finland (Trip #2)

I landed in Finland around 7:30 PM after a pleasant flight. Even before boarding, something in me began to shift. Watching the Finnish faces at Alicante airport, my heart already knew—it was arriving home.

This is my second trip to the homeland of the man I’m growing to love. Perhaps it's even more than that. We’re building something real: a co-living and BnB business, born from his investments in three houses following his divorce and retirement. He needed structure. I bring vision.

But this isn’t just about real estate. It’s about being wanted. Truly wanted.

He is obsessed with me. That’s the truth. And I’ve had to ask myself—is it healthy? Is it real?

As a brave woman with no property of her own, I’m exploring this not just as a practical plan, but as a spiritual nudge. Angel number 681 says it's time for this. Time to build. Time to trust.

The Truth About Love (Or What I Thought I Knew)

I’ve been in relationships before. But love? That’s another story.

Most of my past was about navigating the emotions of others. Since I left my safe, quiet, and structured childhood in Suriname and landed in Rotterdam at 18, it’s been a whirlwind of adapting. No social life before 18. No dating. No emotional training. Just school runs and silence.

Then came the Dutch cities—Rotterdam, Utrecht—and the chaos of full-blown society. It overwhelmed me. I was unprepared.

Only now do I realize: before I could learn to live, I had to learn to manage energy.

Call it late blooming, but at 54, I feel grounded. I'm finally learning to hold my own in a relationship. To feel my side of the connection.

So, Why Finland?

Finland gives me space. A place where silence speaks. Where there is no pressure to smile, no obligation to socialize—just an open invitation to be.

For a highly sensitive person (HSP) like me, raised without emotional education, this is gold. It gives me the chance to slow down and listen.

To feel.
To breathe.
To understand.

The Purity of Love

I do know what real love feels like—my son taught me that. A lucid, loving, deeply connected child who holds my heart. That is pure love: unblemished, effortless, true.

And now, this man.

He sees me. He doesn’t just want me—he feels me. We share a depth I have never known before. It scares me, but it also heals me.

Together, we hold purpose:

  • His family,

  • My family,

  • Our healing,

  • And the creation of a grounded, supported life.

We’re building not just houses, but meaning.

From Here On: Staying Light

Now comes the real task—staying light. Staying blessed. Holding the divine guidance that brought us here.

I understand now.
It all makes sense.

And with that, I take a pause. I breathe in the Finnish silence. I listen to the deer, the fox, and the birds. They too are whispering:

Welcome home. To knowing who I am..
