Past Life Karma & Business: The Hidden Ledger

There is a lot happening in business today, with corruption, stealing, and illegal practices.

And at times, it seems like people are getting away with it.

But what if there is a deeper layer beneath all of this?

What if, instead of reacting, judging, or trying to control the outcome, we stepped back…
and simply observed?

Beyond Right and Wrong

In coaching and leadership, we often speak about responsibility, ethics, and accountability.
And these matter.

But there is another dimension—one that goes beyond visible transactions.

A layer where energy, intention, and past actions interact in ways we don’t immediately understand.

A Personal Reflection

I once helped a friend sell part of his stock—something that had simply been sitting unused.

I gave much of it away. It ended up helping people on their spiritual paths, supporting growth and transformation.

From a conventional business perspective, this made little sense.
There was no clear financial gain for me.

But internally, something else was unfolding.

While I was helping him, I had a strong inner knowing:
we had been business partners in another lifetime.

In that life, I had sold my share of the business and left to follow a spiritual path.

The transaction itself had been fair.
But the emotional impact was not.

He had felt abandoned.

Karma as an Emotional Ledger

That unresolved experience carried forward.

In this life, I found myself returning—not to build profit, but to restore balance.

To support him.
To bring spirituality into his world.
To complete something that had been left open.

There was no financial reward.

But there was something else: release.

A Real-Life Mirror

Recently, I participated in a shamanic journey with someone who had experienced a very different side of this dynamic.

She had been robbed—her stock taken, her bank account emptied.

Naturally, she is pursuing legal justice.
And yet, every step seems to meet resistance. Delays. Dead ends. “No can do.”

From a rational perspective, this is deeply frustrating—and unjust.

But within the journey, another layer appeared.

An outstanding account.
An energetic imbalance that had not yet been resolved.

This does not justify what happened.
And it does not replace the importance of legal action or boundaries.

But it introduces a second lens:

That sometimes, what we experience in the present is part of a much longer cycle of exchange.

Rethinking Karma in Business

We often think of karma as reward and punishment.

But it may be more accurate to see it as an ongoing ledger of actions and emotional impact.

  • Sometimes we act unconsciously
  • Sometimes with intention
  • Sometimes with the best motives, yet still cause harm

And not everything resolves immediately.

Some “accounts” remain open.

A Different Way to Look at Injustice

So what happens when someone cheats you in business?

Or when someone else seems to receive without effort?

From a purely rational perspective, it may feel unfair.

But from a broader lens, something else may be at play.

An exchange beyond this moment.
A continuation of something older.

Practicing Perspective

This does not mean accepting harmful behavior or abandoning boundaries.

It means adding another layer of awareness.

The next time something feels off, instead of reacting immediately, you might pause and ask:

  • What if this is part of a larger cycle?
  • What if I don’t yet see the full picture?

And sometimes, the simplest response is:

“Karma… let’s see what unfolds.”

This perspective doesn’t remove responsibility.
But it can soften reactivity, deepen understanding, and allow you to lead—and live—with more awareness.
